7 Card Stud Rules
-
Each player antes and is delivered two
down cards and one up card.
-
The lowest up-card begins the action by
putting up the “bring-in” (example: in $2/4 stud the bring-in is
$1). That player may make a full bet. Each player in turn may call,
raise or fold.
-
Three more up-cards are delivered (with
betting after each one). After each up-card is delivered, the
highest hand showing is first to act.
-
A final down-card and a final round of
betting. The best 5-card poker hand wins the pot.
-
All 7-card stud games at the Black Bear
Casino have structured betting, unless otherwise posted. In a
structured game, such as $3-6, the smaller bet is made on the first
two betting rounds and the larger bet is made after the fifth,
sixth, and seventh cards are delivered. If there is an open pair on
the fourth card, the players have the option of making either the
smaller or larger bet.
- In all
7-card games, a bet and four raises are allowed.
